Volunteering with AIM (Returning)

Thank you for your interest in returning as an AIM Volunteer for Spring ’24! Follow the steps below to be considered for the Spring semester, and reach out to AIM’s Administrative Assistant, Erin Beardslee (HENERN@shands.ufl.edu), with any and all questions. Please note that priority placement goes to UF Center for Arts in Medicine certificate students.

A) Explore this semester’s opportunities

Please be aware that some of the listed volunteer placements will continue in the virtual/hybrid format this Spring.
  1. Volunteer Placements
  2. Review the AIM Volunteer Handbook

B) Submit AIM Returning Volunteer Forms through the AIM Portal

C) Email AIM’s Administrative Assistant, Erin Beardslee, (HENERN@shands.ufl.edu) and complete your portal forms by 3:30pm on November 21st. ***Emails and forms received after that time will NOT be considered ***

If you want to continue with AIM this Spring, you do not need to attend an info session or a placement appointment (unless you also are volunteering in a second assignment). BUT, you DO need to complete your Return Volunteer Placement Form (linked on the VIC homepage) and email it to volsvcs@shands.ufl.edu no later than 3:30pm on November 27th, 2023. (You do not have to include your placement or start date on the RVP form)

AIM works with UF Health Volunteer Services in on-boarding our volunteers so be prepared for communications and documentation submission through both entities.

D) Purchase your AIM T-shirt or apron

  • If you do not have one already, you may be required to purchase an AIM t-shirt or apron. Before or on the day of your first shift, you will be required to stop by the AIM offices to purchase either an AIM T-shirt ($10.00 CASH ONLY) or AIM apron ($10.00 CASH ONLY). Dress code is determined by the type of discipline you are in.
