Integrative Therapies

Supporting well-being and teaching skills for a balanced life.

Integrative Therapies In-patient Referrals

The Integrative Therapies team provides supportive care for patients on adult and pediatric hematology/oncology, heart and lung transplant, and palliative care services by offering meditation, relaxation, yoga, tai chi, qigong, and massage therapy sessions at no cost to the recipients. All sessions are guided by patient-centered goals and individualized to meet the patient’s current needs. Practitioners teach patients tools, empowering them to meet their goals between sessions and after discharge. Consultation requests are available through EPIC orders via a nurse or doctor. Call Arts in Medicine at (352) 733-0880 for more information.

Midweek Reset

Sometimes a 10-minute reset is all it takes to bring you back to center. Healthcare workers are no exception. Midweek Reset offers staff and care partners a weekly, 10-minute opportunity to breathe and re-center with gentle, guided movement. Led by Amanda Bush, AIM Practitioner, Midweek Reset is on Wednesdays from 2-3PM on Unit 67 in the UF Health Heart and Neurovascular Hospital.

Staff members are seated and stretching their right arm over their heads as they follow AIM practitioner Amanda Bush's guided movement instructions. Ricky Kendall plays soft guitar music as an accompaniment.
