Common Ground

The lung transplant community is invited to join Arts in Medicine for Common Ground, a weekly mindful movement class held online at no cost to participants.

Who

  • Recipients of a lung transplant
  • Those expecting to receive a lung transplant
  • Care partners of lung transplant recipients (spouses, caregivers, etc.)

When

Tuesdays from 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM
Classes begin September 1st, 2026

About the Classes

  • Connect with others while exploring gentle movement and mindfulness practices for grounding, relaxation, stretching, and breath awareness—tools you can carry throughout the transplant journey
  • Open to pre- and post-transplant patients and their family and professional care partners
  • No prior yoga or movement experience is needed. Modifications are available to support comfort and participation.
  • Free of charge
  • Presented by UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine, with facilitation from Amanda Bush, Arts in Medicine Practitioner
