What began as a way to connect fellow healthcare workers to each other through song, Play It Forward is now a segment of Shift Change Radio Hour, an hour-long radio program showcasing health care workers’ song requests, testimonies, Play It Forward dedications, and exciting patient and AIM spotlights.
Hosted by Arts in Medicine and aired by The Wombat: WMBT 90.1 FM, Shift Change features the Play It Forward segment that features covers of songs dedicated from one Gainesville-area healthcare worker to another. Each song is covered by an AIM musician in residence, specially for the dedication.
