
Whitney is an interdisciplinary dance artist and Registered Nurse whose practice centers on fostering community wellness through embodied movement and creative collaboration. She holds an MFA in Dance from Smith College, a BFA in Dance, and a Certificate in Arts in Medicine from the University of Florida. Since becoming an RN in 2022, Whitney has deepened her commitment to family and community wellness, working PRN as a Labor and Delivery nurse.
Whitney joined the UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine team as a dancer in residence in 2018, facilitating dance programs for individuals with movement disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis. In 2023, she co-founded the “Bump and Groove” program, which offers gentle, joyful movement workshops weekly for antepartum patients. She currently serves as the Community Arts Coordinator, where she develops, supports, and monitors AIM-hosted community programming.
Whitney has served as a Lecturer for the Center for Arts in Medicine at UF and is currently adjunct faculty in Dance at Santa Fe Community College and the University of Florida. Through her work, she cultivates inclusive environments that prioritize well-being, meaning-making, and enriching community engagement.
