Chaya has more than 25 years of experience as a dietitian-nutritionist, holistic health educator, massage therapist, performing artist, Ayurvedic Practitioner, yoga therapist and teacher. She graduated from Queen’s College with a BA in Food and Nutrition and worked as a dietitian at St. Vincent’s Hospital in NYC. She was also a professional dancer, teaching for NYU’s musical theater department and touring the world. Throughout her journey, she has enjoyed opportunities to practice and teach in some of the most notable centers such as Kripalu, Omega, and Canyon Ranch. She has studied and worked with renowned educators, obtaining multiple professional level certifications in Ayurvedic Medicine, Holistic Health Education, massage therapy, and yoga and yoga therapy. She founded The Chaya for Life Center, authored Yoga of Action: Holistic Lifestyle and Adaptive Yoga for People with MS and Similar Conditions, and was featured in both Kripalu Yoga: A Guide to Practice On and Off The Mat and Yoga International Magazine.
