Giving to AIM

Artmaking is shown to be a health-supportive behavior. When we regularly engage in creative activities like visual art, music, dancing, and more, we increase these benefits and empower our bodies and minds to rest, recover, and heal.

At UF Health, we believe the arts should be accessible to everyone.

UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine (AIM) is a program dedicated to ensuring that access. Through hospital support, grant-based funding, and charitable gifts, our artists and administrators provide arts and cultural engagements at no cost to participants.

Who we support:

  • Patients at UF Health Greater Gainesville hospitals and clinics
  • Loved ones and visitors
  • Healthcare workers and staff
  • Members of the North Central Florida community

Your gift makes these engagements possible.

Giving to Integrative Therapies

Our team provides supportive care for patients by offering meditation, relaxation, yoga, tai chi, qigong, and massage therapy sessions at no cost to the recipients. Our practitioners teach patients tools they can use on their own between sessions and after discharge.
Your donation to the general Arts in Medicine fund supports our skilled professionals who deliver this important service to our patients at UF Health.

Brianna’s Hope Fund

AIM is committed to using the creative arts to engage and support our youngest patients through the challenges they face while coping with a serious illness. Our artists say that they frequently receive more from patients than they give, as is the case with Brianna Medina and her ever hopeful heart.
