UF Health Gainesville nurses were invited to team up and create a collage inspired by the national Nurses Week theme,“On Purpose”.
Using only the materials in the art kits supplied by Arts in Medicine, each participating unit were tasked with designing their artwork with one or both of these ideas in mind:
- Landscape – What keeps you aligned on your nursing path?
- Compass – What is your nursing “true north”?
The Arts in Medicine team then voted to determine which submission best fit the guidelines and portrayed a design that combined creativity with an inspirational message through bold colors and dynamic symbolism.

The layering of contrasting colors and bold symbolism in 5W’s design stood out to the Arts in Medicine team. We were also particularly moved by 5W’s art statement.
