Join Arts in Medicine for a casual collage night plus resource sharing to directly assist those impacted by Hurricane Helene, locally and nationally.
Artists are often second responders, supporting communities affected by adverse events and health situations when community building is needed most. Arts in Medicine will create space to support stress relief; Acknowledging Gainesville may not have been directly affected by the worst parts of Helene, there can still be a strain on you and our community.
What you might be experiencing:
- Helplessness
- Survivor’s guilt
- Isolation/loneliness
Join us to create a sense of belonging through a casual evening of collage. Even if you don’t create, we invite you into the creative space.
Materials will be provided, but please feel free bring your own for personal inspiration! (Ex. Glue, scissors, stickers, photos, markers, magazines, colorful paper, natural elements like dried flowers, ribbon, rhinestones, and so on)
This event is free and open to all. Drop-ins welcome.
