Invitation to UF Health Patient-facing Healthcare Workers

Dear Frontline Staff,

MA in Arts in Medicine Candidate Alexandra Muscaro is conducting her Graduate research Capstone in partnership with UF Health Shands Center for Arts in Medicine this September. Her research study aims to determine the impacts of creative writing on the wellness and burnout prevention of patient-facing healthcare workers.

The core of Ms. Muscaro’s research will be a virtual creative writing workshop she will be facilitating titled Find Your Voice: Exploring the Story of You. Writing sessions will each be 45-minutes long and offered every Tuesday or Thursday for the month of September– so you would participate in a total of 4 sessions (one session each week). Should you wish to participate, you will also be asked to fill out a pre-program survey (less than 10 min), a post[1]program survey (less than 10 min) and will participate in an individual semi-structed interview (less than 10 min).

All UF Health patient-facing healthcare workers are welcome to sign up and participate, so spread the word! This workshop is designed to nurture and strengthen your creative side in a supportive group environment.

Please see the informational flyer above and feel free to contact Ms. Muscaro via email at amuscaro@ufl.edu or study co-Investigator Lauren Arce at arcelb@shands.ufl.edu for more information or to sign up.

Alexandra looks forward to writing with you!
