Arts in Medicine Director Tina Mullen Retires After 31 Years of Service

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Tina Mullen from her position as director of UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine, effective December 24. During Tina’s 31 years With Arts in Medicine she has been part of a constellation of passionate people that built the nation’s leading hospital-based arts program. She is a pioneer and leader in the field of Arts in Health, and we have been very fortunate to have her vision and passion for exploring and advancing the ways in which artists and the arts enhance the patient experience as well as the healthcare environment.

“For me, the heart of arts in medicine lies in the artists that engage our patients, and the UF Health community of caregivers and leaders, past and present, that supports them. It has been an honor to work alongside such creative, innovative and caring people. I leave filled with gratitude for what has been, and excitement for what’s next – both for me personally and for UF Health Arts in Medicine.”
