The Birthday Bash, held yearly on Tom Petty’s birthday, is a celebration of Tom Petty and his contribution to the Gainesville community and the world through his music and legacy. While the festival weekend is free to the public, attendees may purchase a Petty for the People package which supports Arts in Medicine’s Music is Medicine fund, and entitles the ticket holder to a few VIP perks that aren’t included in the free experience.
“Music is probably the only real magic I have encountered in my life. There’s not some trick involved with it. It’s pure and it’s real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and does all these incredible things.” – Tom Petty
