We are proud to announce that UF Health Artist in Residence Sarah Hinds has been awarded the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship Reciprocal Exchange Award sponsored by the US Department of State. Through this program, Sarah will travel to Nigeria in West Africa to collaborate with Mandela Washington Fellow Kunle Adewale, who runs a dynamic Arts in Health program based in Lagos.
Sarah will also join the UF Center for Arts in Medicine’s study abroad course in Northern Ireland entitled “Arts for Health, Peace and Community Engagement.” This is Sarah’s third summer as a teaching artist with the program, where she works with fellow artists, community members and university students advancing the arts and creativity as a means of social well-being.
Bon Voyage Sarah!
