Please join us in celebrating original works by 3rd Act: Life after Life, a writing and creative arts workshop held at the Alachua County Senior Recreation Center. This workshop is part of UF Health Shands Arts in Medicine’s Creative for Health program.
At 3rd Act: Life After Life, they build community through artistic self-expression. Their creative work explores themes related to gratitude, care for the environment, nostalgia, the human body, and ideas of place and home.
They also use the Amherst Writers and Artists (AWA) method developed by Pat Schneider. In her book, Writing Alone and With Others, Schneider explains, “every person is a writer, and every writer deserves a safe environment in which to experiment, learn, and develop craft.”
