Liminal Bell installed at UF Health
UF Health‘s newest art installation creates ceremony around the completion of patients’ cancer treatment. Tina Mullen, Director of UF Health Arts in Medicine, recruited Gainesville artist Alexis Dold to design and construct the piece housed at the UF Health Davis Cancer Pavillion. The Liminal Bell, derived from the Latin word meaning “threshold”, is fashioned from an oxygen tank and rung by patients at the end of their therapy to symbolize a life after cancer.
